This template must be used inside the {{Infobox ship career}} template within the WikiProject Ships ship infobox . The template replaces the Ship builder and Ship yard number parameters to enable automatic addition of the page to Category:Ships built by XXXXX, organised by the ships yard number.

Usage

There are five parameters to be used.

{{Infobox ship builder | yard = | builder = | city = | region = | country = }}

yard: The yard number for the vessels place of construction. builder: The builder of the vessel. city: The city/town etc where the vessel was constructed. region: The region where the vessel was constructed. country: The country where the vessel was constructed.

This will display within the infobox as:

Builder:	BUILDER, CITY, REGION, COUNTRY
Yard Number:	YARD

If both YARD and BUILDER are defined then it will add the page to Category:Ships built by BUILDER sorted by the Yard Number, otherwise it will be sorted by {{DEFAULTSORT}}.

If COUNTRY is defined then it will add the page to Category:Ships built in COUNTRY

If REGION is defined then it will add the page to Category:REGION-built ships

If CITY is defined then it will add the page to Category:CITY-built ships

Please note, some cities/regions may require disambiguation or an alternate naming form to display correctly. These will need to be defined within the template.
