The Template:Convert/DIN_hp converts amounts for Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) horsepower, which is the same as metric horsepower. For example:

• {{convert/old |10.0|DIN hp|hp}} -   10,0 DIN horsepower (0 hp)
• {{convert/old |1/2 |DIN hp|hp}} -   ¹⁄₂ DIN horsepower (0 hp)
• {{convert/old |1.00|DIN hp|PS}} -   1,00 DIN horsepower (0 PS)

The metric horsepower (PS) is a newer unit.
