Microformat

вироиш

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. For more information about the use of microformats on Wikipedia, please see the microformat project.

Sub-templates

вироиш

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.

To include a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.

hCard uses HTML classes including:

  • adr

Please do not rename or remove these classes nor collapse nested elements which use them.

  • name displays the name of the class at the top of the infobox. Generally only needed if there are multiple infoboxes on the page. If left blank it will default to saying "Current Specifications".
  • image is automatically sized to be no larger than 250 pixels in width and 150 pixels in height. Only the name of the image is needed, as the field fills in the rest of the link (so only picture.svg, not [[image:picture.svg]])
  • imagesize is the size, in pixels, to use for the image. The default is 250px x 150px, but the value here overrides that setting.
  • alt sets the alternative text for the image.
  • caption is optional, and only need is the image needs some explanation.
  • class_symbol will be automatically sized if text, but logos may need to be sized by the editor. A size of "120x60px" works well for most logos.
  • class_image is an alternative to the text-based class_symbol, above.
  • class_imagesize sets the size of the image used for the class symbol, if one is employed. Defaults to 80px x 80px if not set.
  • class_imagealt sets the alternative text for the class symbol image - typically employed to describe the symbol.
  • crew is the number of people who typically are needed to crew the boat.
  • type states the style of boat - for example, Monohull, Catamaran, Trimaran, or Proa.
  • design states if it is One-Design, a Development Class, or other (such as Box Rule).
  • construction sets the materials that are used for constructing the hull (plywood, fiberglass, unrestricted)
  • rig is the style of sail rig: bermuda, ketch, yawl, gunter, etc.
  • keel specifies centerboard, daggerboard or fixed keel.
  • trapeze sets whether or not the class includes a trapeze. Alternatives (such as hiking planks) should be mentioned where appropriate.
  • loa – Length Overall – may or may not include the bowsprit if present.
  • loh – Length of Hull – does not include bow or stern fittings that extend past the hull itself.
  • lwl – Waterline Length.
  • hull - hull weight.
  • beam - Width of the boat.
  • draft will be two values for boats with retracting keels or centreboards, they are best separated with a <br /> to put them on separate lines (see example).
  • mastheight - total height of the mast.
  • mainsailandjib - combined area of the mainsail and the jib.
  • sailarea - combined area of all the sails, used where the mainsail& jib are insufficient (e.g. a cutter rig).
  • mainsail - area of the mainsail.
  • jib - area of the jib/headsail.
  • spinnaker - area of the spinnaker.
  • d-pn is the U.S. Portsmouth Number (based on a 100 benchmark)
  • rya-pn is the U.K. Portsmouth Number (now based on a 1000 benchmark)
  • year is the year the design was first launched.
  • designer is the designer of the class.
  • location is where the class was designed.
  • role is used where the class was designed for a specific purpose, such as a youth trainer.
  • olympic may be set to current, vintage, former, or para for "Olympic Class", "Vintage Olympic Class", "Former Olympic Class", or "Paralympic Class" respectively.
